Not much to say about this one. Me wanted to draw a Kaito. Me ended up drawing him like this. I say he's from Wire in the Blood, because that's the story I was thinking of at the time when I was drawing/colouring him. I may make it a little more obvious in the story at some point.
Interesting fact; whenever I'm colouring or even writing Shinichi and Kaito as cousins, I always do them with the same colour blue eyes, or close to. This was taken from Relative Truth. Kaito's hair is also always darker than Shinichi's, whose is a lighter brown. Same with skin tones. Though that might have something to do with the fact that Shinichi spends most of his time indoors reading.
On the other hand, if they aren't related, Kaito's eyes may remain blue. . . or get a tinge of violet in them - a la TVD.
Kaito doesn't belong to me. If he did, I'd be drawing more Magic Kaito in between Detective Conan, and The Vampire Detective series would be AU canon.
Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
